Sean Davis is an award-winning nature photographer who has a passion for Nature and Landscape Photography. Originally from South Africa, he is now based in Lancashire’s Ribble Valley. Always excited to be able to explore new places, meet new people and find new species as he journeys through the Ribble Valley documenting what he finds.
Living in Africa most of his life, has taught him so much about nature and how fragile it is and that we need to look after our planet for present and future generations.
“We don’t inherit the earth from our forefathers, we borrow it from our children.”

Alan Veale says he is still enjoying his adolescence (always a late starter). That’s because he spent lengthy periods of his childhood learning to entertain himself. A creative imagination and a spell in the naughty corner were the result.
In recent years, Alan has written and published two thrillers, a memoir and a travelogue. Aside from writing features for magazines, he now focuses on producing audio dramas/podcasts with three acting colleagues as The JAPE Collective
Working with Andy has allowed Alan to further indulge his other passion: photography. But he also admits the opportunity to play the part of a river was a challenge he could not resist.

Peter St John graduated with a degree in biological sciences from the University of Lancaster and later a master’s degree from the university of Central Lancashire in environmental education. He went on to work as a park ranger in the Peak District, before becoming a teacher in Lancashire. Peter worked in several schools and outdoor centres locally. He was a contributor to an education pack produced by Lancashire Education Authority based on the Ribble using it as a cross curricular resource.
Peter was introduced to the magic of the natural environment at an early age by his parents sharing his father’s love of fishing. Peter has fished on the Ribble for over 40 years and has volunteered for a variety of local conservation projects over the years.
His motivation for his involvement in this project is to share his love of the river and its wildlife, surroundings and history with others, especially young people.
Pete is our Soundman and Schools liaison.
